How did I start my career in real estate

During my second pregnancy, I rented a house with another family. When the landlord decided to sell the house to relocate to New York, I started to search for a new house. After comparing between renting and buying a house, I ended up buying my first townhome with high Homeowner Association (HOA) fees due to the lack of knowledge in the types of property and how to invest in my primary residence. Later, using equity from my first townhome, I purchased a single-family home across the street so my child could enroll at a good home zone school. Back then, I used a dual agent which I found not a good idea because I did not get a chance to inspect the garage. Although it was fortunate that the seller agreed to hold $10,000 in escrow for the repair, the house turned out to be located outside the catchment area of the school, meaning my child did not have a chance to enroll at our preferred school. It was a pity that I had not been informed of all the necessary information during the purchasing process. Then came the third agent who was a friend of mine. Rather than attempting to negotiate on my behalf, she did not deliver what I had requested. The bad experience I had with the three properties inspired me to learn more about real estate to use my expertise to help other people, which I have done so since 2007.
